Bladed sludge removers

The bladed mud removers are designed for treatment of aggregate particularly hard to be removed, with high percentage content of clay and unwanted materials (peat, organic components, disaggregation minerals, etc.).

The material to be treated is put, through the inlet port, into the washing tank, where two counter-rotating shafts are provided with arms fitted with blades, arranged as four-groove spirals.

The spiral of the two arms intersect in the middle, in order to obtain the maximum rubbing effect from the “material to material” friction and thus an effective disaggregation of the fractions to be removed.

The blade pitch, their orientation and intersection have been studied to optimize the machine operation.

The tank is 6° slanting and, during the treatment, the aggregate, pushed by the blades, moves towards the outlet port, while the washing water supplied by the showering system, flows to the opposite direction, to be then discharged, together with the polluting matter, through proper adjustable overflows.

The drive unit consists of a pair of epicyclical reduction gears, coupled to as many angle transmissions, each one provided with an electric motor – hydraulic coupling drive assembly.

A connecting universal joint assures the rotation synchronism of the two bladed shafts.

A lubrication power unit intended for reduction gear lubrication and oil cooling assures the optimal operation of the machine.

The sludge removers must always be followed by a rinsing screen for removal of remaining films or materials from the product.
